CROWN REDUCTION

Operation that results in an overall reduction in the height and/or

spread of the crown of a tree by means of a general shortening of branches, whilst retaining the main framework of the crown

CROWN THINNING

Removal of a proportion of small, live branches from throughout the

crown to achieve an even density of foliage around a well-spaced and

balanced branch structure

POLLARDING

Removal of all the trees branches, back to the main stem or scaffold structure.




FELLING

Complete removal of a tree either left as a stump or to ground level

CUT BACKS / SELECTIVE PRUNING

Removal or shortening of branches in one area to achieve a specific objective. e.g. 2m clearance from building

CROWN LIFTING

Removal of lower branches to achieve a stated vertical clearance above

ground level or other surface


CROWN CLEAN &

DEADWOOD REMOVAL

Removal of epicormic growth, crossing branches, and dead wood.

STUMP GRINDING

Removal of the main root system to below ground level
